Park Visioning - 2005 Parks
Brownwood Park
Brownwood Park anchors the East Atlanta Village neighborhood near downtown Atlanta, GA. As a transitional neighborhood the residents have seen a lot of change. Brownwood is geographically and culturally in the heart of this change. The park is easy to access and is well used by all populations within the East Atlanta neighborhood.
The Park Visioning Program was applied for a by a local resident, Joanie Stovall. Park Pride worked with interested neighbors to form a Steering Committee that met monthly throughout the ten-month, consensus-building process.

Vine City Park
Atlanta's Vine City neighborhood is re-developing in the shadow of the Georgia Dome to the west of downtown. Part of this change includes the creation of a new public-park. Vine City is one of Atlanta's oldest inner city neighborhoods. Park worked closely with the Vine City Civic Association and the residents of the neighborhood between May and December 2005 to complete their Conceptual Master Plan for the new Vine City Park.

East Lake Park
Atlanta's East Lake neighborhood is experiencing tremendous revitalization as developers in the area rehabilitate older houses or build new ones. A small group rallied arround the park to improve the overall conditions. Park Pride landscape architect and staff worked closely with the community to develop a collective vision for the park. The public collaboration that is normally directed by Park Pride was coordinated instead by the community's steering committee.
