Grove Park Community Garden
Taking root in the community
This garden serves a neighborhood dramatically affected by suburban growth and the foreclosure crisis. The objective of this garden is to teach residents about sustainable agriculture and give both new and experienced gardeners a place to grow their own fresh produce. Community participation is vital to achieving this objective, so the leaders of this garden are working hard to get more of the garden’s neighbors involved in its cultivation. Flowering plants in and around the garden help to attract bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects to the garden.
