Fiscal Partners

For close to two decades, Park Pride has promoted park improvements by providing tools, volunteers, coordination and support for neighborhood efforts. Several years ago, our neighborhood partners started asking us to provide support for park fundraising efforts. When a group of committed neighbors got together to build a playground, renovate a ball field or undertake some other large park project, they needed a structure to effectively fundraise and manage funds. They wanted to be able to solicit tax deductible contributions without having to go to the trouble and expense of creating a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation.

In response to this need Park Pride developed the Fiscal Partners Program. Through this program Park Pride accepts contributions on behalf of neighborhood partners, acknowledges each gift, and provides a variety of services, including tracking contributions and expenditures and maintaining donor databases. This service has enabled neighborhoods throughout Atlanta and DeKalb County to realize their dreams of new playgrounds, enhanced landscaping and preserved greenspace.

Services Include:

• Tracking project contributions and expenditures
• Preparing and sending acknowledgements to each donor
• Processing and tracking of company matching gift applications
• Tax reporting
• Monthly account statements
• Creation of contributor database
• Preparation of mailing labels for correspondence with contributors

Cost of Services:

The standard cost for these services is 5% of contributions received.

To Get Started:

• Confirm that project is related to improvement, protection, or acquisition of parks or greenspace in the metro Atlanta area.
• Designate an individual as the project liaison (person who will approve expenditures and receive account statements and other communication).
• Fill out and sign contract for services.

Once Contract is Signed:

Inform contributors to make checks out to "Park Pride - project name."
